Grounding strip, as the name suggests, is a product used for grounding. Its usage area is very wide and its importance for security is very high.
What is Grounding Strip?
Earthing strip is used for electrical grounding of many areas, from energy transmission lines such as electricity poles to buildings and structures. The product in question may be of different thickness and width. However, in general, it can be stated that the thickness of the product is in the range of 3-5 mm, and the width is in the range of 30-50 mm.
Depending on the characteristics, electricity consumption and other elements of the building to be grounded, the depth at which the grounding strip will be buried is determined. However, in general, the relevant product is buried at a depth of 50-100 cm for grounding in almost all structures.
Why is Grounding Important?

A healthy grounding system is required in order to balance the voltage in buildings such as buildings and to ensure electrical safety without any problems. It is an important detail that the aforementioned system is made in parallel with the process of placing iron on the foundation.
The products used here must be of high quality and resistant to rust. Because the metals involved may become completely unusable after a while due to rusting. It would be more accurate to use galvanized grounding strip to prevent such a situation. The metal associated with the galvanized coating becomes completely corrosion resistant. How to Produce Grounding Strip?
The grounding strip is produced from rolled sheets that have been prepared before. Production is carried out with cuts made in the desired dimensions. For this, widths between 30-50 mm are generally preferred. In addition, the desired thickness is determined before the coil sheet is selected and the appropriate selection is made.
After the cutting process, the galvanizing process starts with dipping. At this point, firstly, the surfaces of the cut sheets are cleaned and the roughness is removed. For this, hydrochloric or sulfuric acid is used. Finally, the sheets are dipped into the zinc-filled pool and all their surfaces are covered with zinc. Thus, galvanized grounding strip is obtained.
The finished product is re-wrapped and turned into a roll. Thus, it is ready to be sent to the relevant points and used.
How Much Are Grounding Strip Prices?
Grounding strip prices are one of the most curious issues in this field. However, it is not possible to give exact information about the price. The thickness and width of the product used greatly affects the figures to be paid. It can be stated that the main thing here is the amount of raw materials used. However, product quality is also an important factor.
